The Department of Genocide Studies of YSU Institute for Armenian Studies has the following problems:
To find out, translate and prepare for edition rare books and collections concerning the Armenian Genocide. To make bibliographic lists of books concerning the Armenian Genocide and to make reviews for edition To make bibliographies of monographs, collections, articles concerning the Armenian Genocide. To collect and concentrate in the archive of ARI various unknown world materials (photos, memories, films, documents) concerning the Armenian Genocide. To collect and concentrate in the library of IAS various books, documents in foreign languages concerning the Armenian Genocide and genocide in general. To present scientific articles and reports in the RA and foreign scientific meetings and press. To corporate with world genocide centers and distinguished scientists specialized in genocide studies. To study various issues concerning the Armenian Genocide, such as the notion "Armenian Trial", the correlation of the Armenian Genocide international recognition, Armenian identity and the Armenian Genocide relation, the Armenian Genocide occupied territory, its period, responsibility for it and such kind of issues.
