Nowadays the role of the source study and informational stock of the historiographical researches gradually becomes the Internet, which posed problems may be considered as new challenges for Armenology. Proceeding from this in Yerevan State University the Department of Virtual Armenology and Information was founded.
It will provide the gathering, monitoring, arrangement and addressing of armenological and antiarmenological materials included on the web-site, as well as public relations and mass media with IAS. This department will serve the official web-site of IAS.
The head of the Department is PhD in Historical Sciences Mher Hovhannisyan.
