KHACHVANKYAN Karp (Karapet) (23.1.1923,  Akhaltskha – 29.11.1998, Yerevan), Armenian actor and director. People's Artist of Armenia (1967). Khachvankyan studied at Actor's school of Tbilisi film studio (1941-1944). From 1944 he worked in Theatre of Musical Comedy of Yerevan (artistic director from 1984-1988). He played  comical and musical roles such as Tonino, Dzanetto («The two Venetian twins» by Carlo Goldoni), Aldermo («The dancing master» by Lope de Vega), etc. See more.
