«Nowadays lots of research has been done  in the field of Armenian Studies, anyhow  the name of Hrachik Simonyan should be  with the names of  the 18th century historians Mikayel Chamchyan, Ghevond Alishan, Leo, Hakob Manandyan».

««On the Roads of Liberation Struggle» by Hrachik Simonyan is a fundamental work on the bright and contradictory period of a new history of Armenia (1904-1914). Studying the party press, as well as archival materials of the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century,  the author  fairly introduced the mentioned period and noticed the tendencies. The material is presented so objectively that, it is difficult to say  the position of the academician»,-said Ashot Melkonyan. He expressed his admiration towards Hrachik Simonyan. According to him the author is not only a great historian of his time, but also a man with principles, who is always ready to offer his support.

Doctor of History Emma Kostandyan spoke about the content of the five volumes. She mentioned that the work, which comprehensively presents the period mentioned above, will always be useful both for the specialists and for the students.

Dean of YSU Faculty of History Edik Minasyan congratulated  those presents and mentioned that the book summarizes the history of the liberation struggle in 20th century. YSU rector Aram Simonyan spoke about his impressions on his father’s academic works. He noticed that the new generation of historians should be able to become the successor and the continuer  of the historiogrpahical  traditions.
