In February 22 the advanced staff of the Academic Council of YSU hosted Minister of Defense of RA Seyran Ohanyan and Minister of Education Armen Ashotyan. "The guarantee of the existence of the state is first of all armed forces. During last year the cooperation is especially active with the Ministry of Defense. We clearly understand how important is the military patriotism from the point of view of education", - said YSU rector Aram Simonyan in his greeting speech....

YSU has acquired the right to pass the TOEFL IBT exam as a strategic center for testing. The center is offering teaching models which satisfy the demands of the entrants. The team consisted of professional specialists organizes course of studies with the flexible version of the time-table....

The conference with the topic "Islamic revolution of Iran in comparative context" held in YSU on February 16 was devoted to the anniversary of Islamic revolution in Iran, which was organized by YSU and Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran....

The problems and acquisitions in the sphere of Armenology, corruption risks, the problem of the necessity of young cadres in some faculties, the improvement of the credit system and the elections of the rector- these are the topics about which spoke YSU rector Aram Simonyan in January 24 during the meeting with journalists....

On the 19th of April  2010  in the session hall of NAS RA an international symposium took place on "Armenian genocide, recognition, condemnation, indemnity",  dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Armenian genocide....

On the 10th of March 2010  the collaborator of the Institute for Armenian Studies was invited by the authorities of the State Guard Service of RA to do a seminar lecture on "The problems of Armenian history and statehood" with the officer staff of the Service. We consider that it had a success due to the interesting debate and dialogue during the seminar lecture. Moreover the representatives of the IAS and SGS agreed to organize new seminars and the list of concrete subjects was made....

On the 27th of February 2010 Institute for Armenian Studies of YSU and "Association of Young University Colleagues" organized a procession towards Tsitsernakaberd to honour the day of memory of the massacre of the Armenians in Sumagit on  27-29 February 1988. This was organized and held by the authorities of Azerbaijan SSR....
